Have you ever noticed that the way in which Windows desktop shortcuts behave is lamentably inconvenient?! There is no chance to have them well-organized, unless you move each icon explicitly to its place.
The Amelix Icon Manager claims to change all that. I've been using it for only about 3 days, but can definitely say - it shall not be removed soon. ;)
I have organized my desktop icons once and then saved the layout with the Amelix Icon Manager; I am no longer worried that Windows will mess it up.
Another indispensable feature - is the possibility to have separate icon sets for each computer user or workspace, the number of stored layouts is virtually unlimited!
My comfort costs much more than the Amelix Icon Manager does, so they've already got my money paid.
